Animal Quarantine Station

Important Notice:

To safeguard public health and prevent the dissemination of zoonotic diseases, the importation, exportation, or transit of live animals or animal products within Thailand is strictly prohibited without prior authorization.

Penalties for Non-Compliance:

Individuals found in violation of these regulations may face:

  • Imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years

  • A fine not exceeding 200,000 Baht (Two hundred thousand Thai Baht) 

  • Or both

Prohibited Items:

This prohibition encompasses, but is not limited to:

  • Live Animals: Including, but not limited to, felines, canines, lagomorphs, avians, elephants, and bovines.

  • Animal Products: Including, but not limited to, meat, bones, milk, eggs, hides, feathers, and any food products derived from animal sources.

Declaration Procedures:

Individuals in possession of live animals or animal products are obligated to declare such items at the designated Animal Quarantine Office located at Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai International Airport:

These regulations are enforced under the provisions of the Animal Epidemics Act B.E. 2558 (2015). Failure to adhere to these regulations may result in legal repercussions.
